Morgana vs. Morgana was born in December 1992.
They
share scenario in their first shows with bands of the valencian local
scene of that time: Furious Planet, Alternative Beards, Offense, Shock
Treatment and a long one etc.
"Coeur de Le Fay" (January, 1994) is the name of their first demo which
offered five tracks recorded in a recording studio and another five
recorded in one of their lives.
Only 10 months later they record the second demo " Preguntas " (November,
1994) published by Soroll Records (an independent valencian record
company). Thanks to this work, they get the first favourable critics on
the part of the specialized local (Wah-Wah, On the Rocks) and national
press (Heavy Rock, Metal Hammer).
Shows, more and more crowded, were following one another.
They won a place in the Circuit Rock of Valencia (1995) and they were
finalists of the contest Asylum Rock of Gandía.
"Luz Vision 3.57" (Subterráneo Records, 1997) is the sequel, a Cd/Ep
with five tracks which gets excellent reviews by national radios,
highlighting RNE3. Its repercussion ends with three extracted tracks to
collaborate in four compilations. "10 años indepedientes” of the local
radio station Radio Funny, "Rockomendados " for the agazine Heavy Rock,
“Duro Despegue", Cd that celebrates the first anniversary of the
Subterráneo Records and finally, “Estación 1” for the Locomotive Music
Records.
This same year they could classified in the Circuit Rock of Valencia
where, with Chococrispis, they get the biggest capacity of the whole
contest in their preliminary rounds. They hire the Foxy Studios of
Valencia in September of 1998 to record a demo with four songs, finally
unedited. But one of the tracks is extracted to take part in the
compilation “Omenaje to the mala Huva" (La Filoxera, 1998). The critic
highlights the personality of the band in that last composition.
Victor Díaz joins the formation as a new guitarist with the idea of a
necessary renovation in April of 1999, thus Carlos could be devoted
completely to vocals. After a set of shows to know the ‘fitness’ of the
band they recorded 4 songs which were used in the contest Mostra Música
Jove 1999 getting the 1st award. A new cd with 3 MvsM’s songs comes out,
which was promoted by the organizers of the contest.
Year 2000 point to a difference in the way of band’s recording. Now,
they go into seclusion to write along the whole year 17 songs which
would opt for being part of their new work. " Hipnoterapia " (MvsM
Publishing, 2003) is structured in nine songs where take part Ricardo
Rodríguez (singer of Holywater), Pablo Tárrega (singer of Lullaby) and
Dai Berenguer (singer of Wicked Article), Ricardo in three of them.
Finally, “Hipnoterapia " was published by MvsM at the beginning of 2003,
after the presentation to the critic and public and before the negative
on the part of the recording companies.
It was published a limited edition of the song “Entrega" at the end of
2002 in which Ricardo Rodríguez (Holywater) takes part. The song “En el
nombre de tu danza” was also extracted for “El Relevo” published by
Lengua Armada Records."Hipnoterapia " was presented in different cities
of Spain like Madrid (opening the War Fest of that year), Barcelona,
Lugo, Valencia, etc. It was welcomed so far on the part of the critic as
the best work of the band.
Morgana vs. Morgana doesn't stop to write songs and in the meantime they
present their last work. They come again into a recording studio to
record their new album "nébula” in November of 2003. This album has 10
songs and it is their most personal work. Finally, "nébula " has been
published in December of 2005.
At the moment Morgana vs. Morgana is preparing a tour based on this new
work in several cities of Spain. Zagg (guitar of Item) has replaced
Victor Díaz.
